About Us

Bobbie Stafford

Bobbie Stafford was an elementary school cook for many years. She went out of her way to make sure every child was fed, whether or not they could pay.

She would pull a kid aside at the start of the day and again at the end, and send them off with something to eat, if she thought they weren’t getting enough at home. She also provided countless articles of clothing — shoes, coats and more — to children who needed them. She made a mark on the lives of more kids than we can count.

What we do now

Bobbie’s Staff is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3). Nobody draws a salary.

1

Weekend meal bags

Food home on Friday with children in Mason Consolidated School District who would otherwise have nothing until Monday. How it works.

2

Blessing boxes

Two open pantries in Luna Pier and Erie Township, stocked around the clock. Where they are.

3

Pantry, by appointment

A stocked pantry for the needs a blessing box cannot cover. Families can reach it by appointment — just get in touch.

Our mission

To serve Mason families first by eliminating food insecurity in our public schools, ensuring all students can participate fully in school life regardless of ability to pay, and supporting families with essential household needs when help is needed most.

Led by Mason students and parents, all donations are raised locally and remain within our community. As our capacity grows we will thoughtfully expand our reach. Above all, we help Mason families in need — when they need it, no questions asked.
