What is a blessing box?
Bobbie’s Staff is a 501(c)(3) formed to eliminate food insecurity for Mason kids and families. To that end we have established two Bobbie’s Blessings Boxes to serve the Mason community.
A blessings box is a small pantry that can be accessed at any hour. At any given time you will find non-perishable food, hygiene items, and sometimes clothing such as hats and gloves. There is no charge to take anything from the boxes. They are there to help folks who need a hand.
We encourage those in need to take what they need. We also encourage those who are able to leave what they can.

Luna Pier
In front of the Luna Pier branch library, 4349 Oak St.
Erie Township
Under cover by the main entrance of Erie Township Hall, 2065 Erie Rd. Enter off Erie Rd.
The Erie Township box has moved
It now sits under cover near the main entrance of Erie Township Hall, so it stays dry and lit after dark. Enter off Erie Rd. Same box, same neighbors keeping it full.
Pantry, by appointment
Some needs are bigger than a blessing box will hold. For those we stock a pantry that families can get to by appointment — email us and we will set a time. There is no application and no means test.
What to leave
Anything shelf-stable and anything that keeps someone warm.
Food that keeps
Tinned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, peanut butter, tinned soup, granola bars, shelf-stable milk. Nothing that needs a fridge.
Hygiene items
Soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes, deodorant, diapers, period products. These run out fastest.
Warm things, in season
Hats, gloves, scarves and socks, new or clean. Michigan winters are long.
Please do not leave anything opened, expired, refrigerated or in glass. If a box is full or damaged, email us and we will sort it.
